Upper Key Stage 2 Fluency
In years 5 and 6, we will be focusing on practising our mathematical fluency. We have come up with some types of maths questions that children should be able to answer instantly, without counting on their fingers. This will allow children to speed up their calculations and become more confident, especially in arithmetic.
Below is the pyramid showing the skills that we will practising in school. It would really help if you could support your child by helping them practise some of these skills at home. There are some example questions at the bottom of the page.
