Maths

Remember learning to count in 10s.

Join in with counting in 10s with this video.

Remember measuring things in your house using paper clips.

Today I want you to measure your fingers and thumb.

Use the paper clips to see how many paper clips long your thumb and fingers are.

See the photos below to help you.

All you need is a piece of paper, a pencil and some paper clips (all in your school pack).

        1. Put your hand on a piece of paper.

      2. Draw around your hands.

 3. Draw lines at the bottom of your fingers.

 4. Put the paper clips at the edge of the finger.

5.

5. Write how many paper clips long your finger is on the finger.

So my little finger is about 2 paper clips long.

Put the paper clips on all your fingers and your thumb and write down how many paper clips long they are on your finger.

Try doing your other hand.

Do they measure the same paper clips long as your first hand?

How many paper clips long do you think Thumbelina is?

Please let me know and send me photos of you measuring your fingers using paper clips.

That's all for today!

Enjoy the rest of the day!
