Let's start with this short exercise today.  Try to join in with the rhyme too.

Do you remember what happened in the last part of the story of Thumbelina?

Watch the story again to remind yourself.

Ask someone to help you read the text below and try to answer questions about the story.

Look at this picture from the story.

 Write today's date in your book: Friday 15th May

Try to use some of the words you have learnt from this story to say/sign a sentence about this picture and then write this down in your book.

For example:

The bird took Thumbelina away.

   Maths

Warm up with this counting video today.

Remember you have been looking at long and short things.

Today I want you to try and find out how long things are using paper clips.

Please take photos of you measuring things in your house with the paper clips.

Now draw a picture of the fairy.

Use these words to help you say / sign and write sentences about the fairy.
