 Good morning everyone!

School is closed today so you will be learning from home.

Let's start with the date - here's the calendar so click on this and ask an adult to help you go through the days of the week.  Then click on the correct day and date.

 

Now look out of the window and use this weather chart to help you say or sign what the weather is like today.

It's PE today - click on the video and join in with the warm up.

Click on the video below and join in with the rest of the PE session.

    Maths

Click on this video and count to 20.

Now ask an adult to help you count some things in your house:

5 forks 

5 spoons  

5 cups    

5 toys    

Or you can find other things to count in the house.

Ask an adult to take photos of the things you counted in your

house and you can show these to me at school.

Now practise writing numbers 1 to 10 in your book or on paper.

Here's the rhyme for today.

Ask an adult to help you practise writing your name in your book or on paper.  Children who know how to write their names, practise writing the days of the week.

Click on the video and watch the Gingerbread Man story.

Tell the story to an adult and then draw an animal from the story.

Ask an adult to help you write the name of the animal you drew.

Here's our rhyme of the week - click on the picture and join in with the rhyme and make the animal sounds.

If you made a snowman yesterday, is he still there?

Tell an adult if it looks the same or different.

What do you think has happened to the snowman?

Tell an adult about what happened to the snowman when he had

something hot.

Now practise writing your name in a book or on paper.

Start maths with this warm up video - join in with the counting and the actions.

Now I want you to play a maths counting game.

Find a box or a basket like one of these:

                              

Roll up about 10 socks like this: 

Now throw them in the box or basket.

Count how many socks you got in the box or basket and how many socks outside.  Make the game harder by standing further back.

Ask an adult to take you out to help you make a snowman like the one below.  What clothes will you need to wear to go out today? 

Make sure you wear your coat, hat, gloves, scarf and boots. 

Ask an adult to take a photo of your snowman to show me when we are back at school.

I hope you had a good time making your snowman. 

I hope you are nice and warm inside your home now.
