Parents as partners
Being part of your child’s school life has a significant impact on your child’s experience of education.
We welcome parents and carers to become really involved in our school. Parents are welcome to come into school and spend time playing and working with your child in their classroom for the first 20 minutes of each session.
We want to involve you in planning for your child and in your child’s assessments. Every term each child has a special ‘All About Me’ week. During their special week all the adults that are working with your child will observe them to see all the wonderful things they are doing and to find out what your child is interested in, so we can make sure we are planning for your child’s interest. We will also meet with you to involve you in this process.
We offer lots of workshops for parents including maths, reading, writing and phonics workshops so that parents can help their child at home. Look out for letters coming home about these workshops or contact the school office to find out more details.
