Parent/Care Workshops for mental health/emotional wellbeing

19 May 2021 (by girlington)

Bradford Educational Psychology Team offer free workshops for parents and carers*, via the Mental Health Champions project, which is commissioned and funded by the Clinical Commissioning Groups in Bradford.

The workshops are an opportunity for parents and carers** to learn more about specific topics relating to low to medium level mental health and emotional wellbeing of children and young people, how parents and carers can support their children, and where else they might be able to find further advice or support.
Please note that these events are group sessions, intended to offer information and training for parents/carers, but we are not able to offer any individual advice via this forum.

Forthcoming sessions:
The topic of our next session will focus on supporting children and young people
through key transitions, such as a change of school or key stage.
The following dates are available:
 Monday 7th June 9.30-11am
 Tuesday 8th June 9.30-11am
 Monday 14th June 9.30-11am
 Tuesday 15th June 9.30-11am

Sessions may be cancelled if minimum numbers are not met, and any parents/carers booked on to sessions that are cancelled will be offered an alternative.
Due to the ongoing coronavirus situation, we are holding our events this year online. Parents will need internet access in order to log in to the chosen platform, but do not need to download any software or register any account.
